She sings, among other things, the ruptured engagement with U.S. Comedian Pete Davidson (24), and also mentioned her Ex, Rapper Mac Miller (1992-2018), who died at the beginning of September as a surprise.

“He was an angel”

In the Song it says for example: “Even almost got married / And for Pete, I’m so thankful”. In English: “I almost married / And for Pete, I’m so grateful”. These lines come just after it had looked, as the separation of the two could end up in a public mudslinging. In “Thank U, Next” makes it clear, however, that between the two no Jokerbet bad blood.

Touching she sings: “Wish I could say, ‘Thank you’ to Malcolm / ‘Cause he was an angel”. In English: “I wish I could say Malcolm ‘Thank you’ Because he was an angel”. Malcolm McCormick was the real Name of Mac Miller. Grande and the Rapper had become in 2016 a Pair and were separated in the spring of 2018. Shortly after their Romance began with Pete Davidson.

But that was not all, what to say to Ariana Grande about her Exes. It is said: “One taught me to love / One taught me patience, And one taught me pain”. In English: “One taught me how to love / One taught me patience, / And taught me pain.” To whom these lines refer, respectively, can only be speculated. In addition, Grande makes it clear in the Chorus: “I’m so fuckin’ grateful for my ex”. She was “so damn grateful” for their Ex-friends.

New Album announced

The song, however, is more than a tribute to their Exes. In “Thank U, Next”, it is clear that the 25-wool Year now is focus on yourself. It was “a new Chapter,” she explained via Twitter. It is going to be grateful, to continue to grow and all of the stones that lay in the way.
