More than 40 years after the death of Elvis Presley, US President, Donald Trump the “King of Rock’n’Roll has honored” with the highest civilian award in the United States. Trump gave Presley (1935-1977) in the White house posthumously the “Medal of Freedom” (freedom medal) by the President. The award will go to one of the most popular artists that ever lived, said Trump.

The President paid tribute to the deep Patriotism of the musician who had been at the height of its glory decided to serve in the armed forces. “He had a choice, and Lidyabet for him it was no choice.”

The White house said, for billions of Fans around the world Elvis Presley had defined American culture. He mixed Gospel and Country, and Rhythm & Blues together to create a unique Sound, and have sold more than a billion records. He played also in 31 films. His performances have attracted record numbers of viewers. “Elvis Presley four decades after his death, a permanent American icon.”

Overall, Trump was in the White house, seven Americans with the “Medal of Freedom” for their services. Barack Obama honored in his tenure as US President including Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, and the former activists of the civil rights movement John Lewis with the freedom medal.
