On Monday, Portugal crushed Luxembourg while Croatia achieved a decisive success. The meetings this Tuesday evening will be decisive in the other groups.

[Updated September 12, 2023 at 10:50 a.m.] Without Cristiano Ronaldo (suspended), Portugal scored a scathing 9-0 in Luxembourg. The team of new coach Roberto Martinez was brilliant in creativity and realism. The final score is historic for the Lusitanians: it is the largest victory in their history. PSG player Gonçalo Ramos, author of a double, was formidable, as was Bruno Fernandes, who offered four assists and scored a goal. In the same group, Slovakia won 3-0 against Liechtenstein and took a three-point lead over Luxembourg. Iceland beat Bosnia-Herzegovina in added time (1-0), in a match between two teams almost already eliminated. In Pool D, Croatia obtains a crucial victory in Armenia. Thanks to an early goal from Kramaric, the 2018 World Cup finalists moved back into a tie with Turkey at the top of the group, with a game in hand. For its part, Wales can still believe in qualification thanks to their victory in Latvia (0-2): Aaron Ramsey’s teammates are back on level terms with Armenia and three points behind Turkey.

This evening at 8:45 p.m. there will be many decisive matches for qualification for Euro 2024. Italy already has its back against the wall in Group A. After its disappointing draw in North Macedonia (1-1), the Squadra Azzurra will have to beat Ukraine at home tonight to get back level on points with their opponent. In a Group A dominated by Scotland, Spain will have to beat Cyprus, while Erling Haaland’s Norway will host Georgia to stay alive. Belgium will face Estonia to remain undefeated in Group F, while Sweden will need to beat Austria to keep their faith alive. Finally, in a more than tight Group I, the three teams at the top of the standings will play at home, to try to consolidate their advantage: Switzerland will host Andorra, Romania will host Kosovo and Israel will face Belarus.

Qualifying for Euro 2024 involves 53 teams divided into 10 groups (seven groups of 5 and three groups of 6). After the draw carried out on October 9, 2022 from Frankfurt in Germany, host country of the competition, the French team, present in pot 2, finds itself in pool B with the Netherlands, Ireland, Greece and Gibraltar… All groups:

The first two in each group will be directly qualified at the end of the qualifying phase, on November 21, 2023. A play-off phase has been set for March 21 to 26, 2024 between the twelve best-ranked teams in the general classification of the League of Nations. nations, for the allocation of the last three places.

The next Euro football tournament in 2024 will open on June 14, 2024 at the Allianz Arena in Munich for the opening match before closing on July 14, 2024 with the final at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

Euro 2024 will take place in a single country in 2024, in Germany. The competition was awarded by UEFA in September 2018.  Three groups of venues have been established for this Euro: North – North East (Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig), West (Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Cologne) and South (Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart).
