Directed by Cédric Kahn, “The Goldman Trial” is released in theaters this Wednesday, September 27, 2023. But does this judicial closed session have a link with France’s favorite singer?

A judicial closed session as breathtaking as it is explosive. This is what awaits spectators who will discover “The Goldman Trial” in theaters. The film is one of the cinema releases not to be missed this Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

This feature film directed by Cédric Kahn (“The Prayer”, “The Boredom”) returns to the true story of the trial of Pierre Goldman (Arieh Worthalter), far-left activist, anti-racist and half-brother by singer Jean-Jacques Goldman. In November 1975, he was on his second trial, already sentenced to life imprisonment for four armed robberies resulting in two deaths. He admits to the thefts but denies having killed the two pharmacists.

This is one of the reasons which explains why Cédric Kahn did not ask Jean-Jacques Goldman to direct “The Goldman Trial”. As he was able to explain on the microphone of Sud-Ouest, he “had no feedback” from him. “I don’t know him and I didn’t ask him because he has always been very discreet about his brother’s story. And I respect that.”

The filmmaker adds, however, that certain members of Pierre Goldman’s family “have seen the film.” “And I think their feeling was quite positive.” “The Goldman Trial” is now available at the cinema.
