During an auction, two precious mementos of singer Céline Dion are being offered to benefit the fight against her illness.

During an auction, organized by Julien’s Auctions, in Beverly Hills, California, several properties belonging to the Canadian diva will be made available to the public on Tuesday, November 14. The assets transferred by Céline Dion? Like the dozens of artists participating in this auction, these are handwritten lyrics from their songs.

In the list of objects in this sale, two manuscripts of lyrics by the singer: The prayer, her duet with Andrea Bocelli released in 1999 and The Gift, song taken from the soundtrack of the film Love Again, released in 2023. For the first song, this is a sheet containing the score written by David Foster, composer of The Prayer, a Golden Globe winner for best original song. Estimated selling price: between $600 and $800.

The second lot linked to Céline Dion is therefore the white sheet on which the lyrics of The Gift are written, by the hand of the songwriter Tina Parol. The starting price is listed at $200 and the item should also go for a price between $600 and $800. In total, around fifty lots are on sale, including musical instruments or other handwritten lyrics, having belonged to artists such as Garth Brooks, Hozier or Rick Springfield.
