The group Massive Attack announces on social networks the death of its guitarist Angelo Bruschini at only 62 years old.

“I think I’m done for,” Angelo Bruschini wrote last July on his Facebook account, making his lung cancer public. Sad premonition: the guitarist died at 62, announced his group, Massive Attack, on social networks this Tuesday, October 24. “Devastated,” the band wrote in a short message posted on Facebook: “How lucky we all were to share such a life together. Such a brilliant, eccentric talent. Impossible to quantify your contribution. RIP Angelo.”

In the spring, Massive Attack was forced to cancel its tour in France, due to health problems of one of the members of the group, without his identity being revealed. Before Angelo Bruschini did it himself in July, on Facebook. “I’ve had a great life, traveled the world many times, met a lot of great people, but the door is closing,” the musician wrote.

Born in 1961 and originally from Bristol, Angelo Bruschini joined the group Massive Attack in the 1990s, before scoring some of the group’s successes and contributing to its notoriety. The Brits were due to perform at We Love Green in Paris this summer before canceling their visit to France.
