A new streaming platform is arriving soon in France, it promises to offer the best series of the moment and to do better than the competition.
A lot of offers exist in France in the audiovisual and streaming landscape. Between Netflix, Prime Video, Disney, MyCanal and even Apple TV and the television channel sites, it can be complicated to exist. And yet, not all the big players in the sector are yet present in France. But that will change soon, since a new American streaming platform is arriving in our territory in the coming weeks. And above all, it will offer the best series of the moment.
Two years after its launch in the United States, Max, a merger of HBO Max and Discovery, finally arrived on French territory (or rather networks). An announcement that will not fail to arouse the curiosity of series fans, since this new viewing site will offer some of the best series of the moment, namely programs from the “prestige” American channel HBO.
In bulk, Max’s catalog will offer several of the blockbuster series of the moment: The Last of Us, True Detective: Night Country, Succession, The White Lotus, but also Euphoria and Game of Thrones. Among the new releases available, we also include The Penguin, a spin-off of the film Batman with Robert Pattinson, centered on the genius of the underworld, played by Colin Farrell, or even Welcome to Derry (the adaptation of the novel It by Stephen King). It is also on this platform that we can hope to eventually find House of the Dragon or the next Harry Potter series. A boon for fans who had to subscribe to a Prime Video subscription but also the Warner pass to follow all HBO releases so far.
Three subscription offers have already been announced, the prices of which in France have not yet been revealed. The first will offer a low-cost offer, but with advertising included. The standard subscription, a little more expensive, eliminates advertisements and allows you to enjoy the platform on two simultaneous devices. Finally, the premium offering is supposed to offer the best experience with four simultaneous devices, the best possible resolution, and up to 100 content to watch offline. A “sport” option, which will cover the Grand Slam or the 24 hours of Le Mans, will also be offered.
For now, the release date of Max in France is not known. Although several European and Nordic countries will have access to it from May 21, this will not be the case for France. On the other hand, the site will be launched “before the Olympic Games” in Paris, we learn in the press release. So before July 26th. Only a few more months to wait before binge-watching new content for the summer!
