From one EU country to another, can be expensive. Especially with the mobile phone. For this purpose, up to 1.99 euros per Minute will be required. That will soon change.

Berlin (dpa) – From 15. May be capped charges for calls and SMS from the home country to other EU countries. A maximum of 19 cents per Minute will be due and payable, whether landline phone or mobile phone plays no role. A text message costs a maximum of 6 cents.

According to the European consumer Federation of up to EUR 1.99 per Minute were recorded in Germany for international calls by cell phone. The extra fees for calls from foreign EU networks to the home country, so for example, for phone calls home from vacation, had already been in the summer of 2017 abolished.
