Firefox users will not need to fret around longer in order that certain Add-ons work. With the new Update, Mozilla has fixed the responsible error.

Berlin (dpa/tmn) – Mozilla has fixed an issue with disabled Firefox extensions via an Update. Users whose Add-ons with regard to certificate issues did not work at once, need to do nothing more.

After installing the update to Version 66.0.4 the extensions should work both on computers as well as Android mobile devices.

Who should, nevertheless, continue to have difficulty with some Add-ons problems, you can disable in the Browser configuration temporarily, the certificate-checking for extensions. To do this, you type “about:config” (without the quotes) in the address line and then puts in the entry “xpinstall.signatures.required” the value from “true” to “false”.

After a browser restart, the Add-ons work again, but it is displayed more as a warning. This should be taken seriously and not forget to set the value to “true”. Because the certificate validation extensions is an important safety feature.
