For the third time in his career, Brad Pitt reunites with Quentin Tarantino in the cinema. The 60-year-old actor will star in the filmmaker’s final film, The Movie Critic, according to information from the trade magazine Deadline. However, we do not know what his role will be, but he could play the main protagonist of the film. Brad Pitt therefore finds a director he has followed for several years. Previously, the American comedian had starred in Inglorious Basters and Once upon a time… in Hollywood. For this last film, he also won the Oscar for best supporting actor in 2020.
For now, little is known about this new project, apart from this attractive casting. Quentin Tarantino has revealed little about the content of The Movie Critic. Among the information we have on this final project, we know that the plot will take place in the world of cinema, in the years 1977. Originally, Quentin Tarantino wanted to shoot The Movie Critic in the fall. The actors’ strike, however, changed his plans and the filmmaker is now reportedly hoping to release this feature film sometime in 2025. The 60-year-old director confirmed that this is his last film as a director, as he doesn’t want to direct more than ten films in his career (he counts the two Kill Bills as one and the same film). This feature film is eagerly awaited, not only because it is the last in his filmography, but also because Quentin Tarantino is an adored director: these feature films are distinguished by crafted dialogues, a often bloody scene and numerous movie references that his fans seek to unearth.
