The spokesman of the government is the target of an opposition party and police officers after his comments on the nurse-arrested on 16 June in Paris.
Sibeth Ndiaye is this Monday in the heart of a new controversy after remarks about the nurse-arrested on 16 June against it on the social networks by the police, but also a part of the opposition.
Interviewed on Sunday on France 3 about the arrest of a nurse who threw projectiles at the security forces, Sibeth Ndiaye was first reminded that “justice must be exercised in a normal manner, as for any other citizen”, before specifying : “When I do not know how to explain that one throws stones on the forces of order, I don’t see why it would be necessary to absolve”.
A little later in the interview, she added : “Me, I understand, of course, the emotion aroused by the image that one has for his or her arrest. But at the same time, I wouldn’t know how to explain to my children, by example, if it is normal, or not, to throw stones on the forces of order.”

A “gross negligence” for the RN
“said by the spokesman of the government Sibeth Ndiaye, are unworthy of its functions,” responded the union of commissioners of the national police (SCPN), on Twitter. Several voices were immediately elevated to the RN and to the right to protest and even to demand the resignation of the spokesperson. “This level of responsibility, these words form a heavy fault. Sibeth Ndiaye must resign. It dishonors the State. It dishonors France”, claimed the mep RN Jean-Lin Lacapelle. “See a member of the government to put in perspective the severity of an attack against the police is disturbing, is also outraged by the boss of the senators LR Bruno Retailleau, while the mp LR Valérie Boyer denounced as’vile words of Sibeth Ndiaye”.
Unexpected support from Bellamy
“about Sibeth Ndiaye have been taken out of context. It has, however, been very clear and has denounced the launching of missiles against the forces of the order”, if that annoys-t-on in the entourage of the spokesperson. “This controversy has no place to be, has also considered the patron saint of deputies LREM Gilles, The Son-in-law on Cnews. What it meant, in the context where it is uncertain as to whether or not it is necessary to show clemency towards the nurse, she explains : I don’t know to explain it in the sense that I do not know the justify to my children, in other words, it is unjustifiable.”

More surprising, the mep LR François-Xavier Bellamy has also taken the defence of Sibeth Ndiaye. “I think it would be a bad trial based solely on this excerpt,”, he warned on South Radio, asking to “try to understand before being put systematically to denounce”. During the health crisis, Sibeth Ndiaye has been accused repeatedly by the opposition of committing blunders, as for example when she spoke of teachers who do not work.
