To begin with, Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi tied the knot once he stated he could not live with her through Ramadan unless they were wed. She had been reluctant to marry too fast as a result of his ultimatum, but she decided that the reward outweighed the risk. “It’s not the marriage which I wanted, but I do not want to live the rest of my life ,” she explained. “He is just amazing.”
Rebecca came in a”Cinderella white carriage,” and rather than saying”I do” during the ceremony, Zied answered,”Yeah,” that she discovered humorous and repeated after him. The group were thrilled once they left things official. “It feels so great not to have a 90-day deadline looming over and not having to worry about saying goodbye in an airport,” she said.
Tarik Myers and Hazel Cagalitan would be another duo to exchange vows. With their parents viewing via video-chat, the wedding couple became emotional during the weddingday.
“You restored my faith in this lifetime,” he gushed through tears. “Plenty of times I wanted to give up on love, but then I did something crazy and flew 10,000 miles and proposed to someone I’d only seen for two weeks. And now there’ll never be anyone before you, ever.”
Hazel, for her part, maintained her speech brief. “I guarantee I will be loyal to you and a fantastic wife and a stepmom to Auri,” she told Tarik. “I love you forever and ever.” Following the nuptials, she quipped,”I am the boss now, and I’m happy.”
Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina then rushed to get married because of the pandemic. “I am worried that the virus will screw up the processing of this paperwork,” he detailed. “Thus, we decided to go ahead and get married now. That way we can apply for a green card.”
While he had second thoughts, he opted to go through with the marriage, which her parents attended via video-chat. Brandon recited his vows in Russian, while Julia said in English.
How did I get so blessed to call you my love?” He requested his bride. “I feel like the happiest man in the world. From this moment on, you’re my priority. I love you and I need you forever.”
Julia read her vows from a canvas where she’d written them down. “I promise to love you constantly. To love and respect you. Make protein snacks,” she raved. “You are my buddy.
