Trey Parker and Matt Stone don’t seem to be buying into the non-fungible symbol (NFT) craze.

The streamer premiered the second hour of the first movie in the series on Thursday. It left viewers feeling more hopeful about the future. South Park: Post COVID, the first half of the series, was a dark picture. It premiered on Thursday and left viewers with a more optimistic outlook about the future.

South Park: After COVID: The Return of COVID has great character callsbacks and takes more shots at anti-vaxxers (no pun intended). However, the film became hardcore following the Victor Chaos NFT craze.

Chaos, as most fans thought, is Butters. He is an institutionalized, dodgy salesman who, as an adult, made billions convincing everyone he met to invest in NFTs to make quick money. It’s gone: My savings, my house. But I have this little green Panda on a skateboard,” one of Butters’ victims says.

Butters is needed to help Stan and Kyle. He pitches them, “If they just believe in NFTs then I believe also in NFTs. Then they believe in NFTs and then we make all sorts of fucking money!”

South Park: South Park: The Return of COVID includes great nods and jokes about Blade Runner. It also features a funny moment with Randy in rain. Parker and Stone take some more shots at Space Jam 2 with LeBron James making an appearance among the mockery.

The South Park creators signed a new megadeal in August with Paramount+ and Comedy Central parent ViacomCBS. It runs through 2027. This includes 14 Paramount+ projects and the flagship series that will be renewed through season 30. Comedy Central will be returning in early 2022.
