“I say, I’m good’ only because it has been time,” said the 31-year old wildlife manager to Ben Higgins during the Thursday, February 10 episode of the podcast. “Time heals many things, and you can kind of reflect on the past and move forward from it all.”

Bachelor Nation saw Katie , 31 years old, accept a proposal by Blake at the August 2021 finale on The Bachelorette. Viewers were wondering if the lead was Greg grippo, who left after a difficult date in her hometown. The couple called it quits in October 2021. Katie then announced that she was dating John, a fellow contestant from season 17. They had been close since she sent him home last week 2.

“We spoke very cordially after we announced our breakup, which was really nice. Then, of course, all the rest happened. Blake said that they haven’t spoken since then to the Bachelor season 20 on Thursday. She has reached out to my. It’s just that I haven’t been in the right place to respond. I was trying to avoid responding in an emotional place, especially when it was all unraveling.

Blake said that there will come a time when he can respond to Katie’s outreach.

He continued, “But it’s not worth doing it where I’m going out of emotion,” he said. “She’s happy. Although I wasn’t happy with the decision, she made it. She made the right decision, just as I would for myself. It didn’t go the way I expected it to. There are many ways it could have been handled differently, but I don’t have time for grudges.

Katie was a sensation when she revealed her love for John in November 2021 through a Taylor Swift challenge. She assigned songs to her exes, including “We Are Never Ever Going Back Together” to Blake.

The Canada native stated that she believes she is a good person, but things did not go according to plan. “I will reply to her and we will make amends, 100 percent, one-day. It’s just not right now, when it feels fresh. Until I have had that final conversation with her, there will always be a small piece of me that isn’t healed. It will happen. Because we are both mature, I know it will. It will, but it isn’t yet. “I think I should be the one to decide that, just because I was wrong about it.”

Blake said that having a conversation to Katie is not something Blake considers a priority at the moment. He said, “That conversation is at the top of my to-do” list right now. “It would be better for us both if we talked.” I know it would be great for me.”

The Bachelorette: Building up

Blake appeared first on Clare Crawley‘s 16th season of Bachelorette. He told Ben that he had put the lead on a pedestal going into 2020.

Clare was my creation. He explained that although he didn’t necessarily build Clare up, but that he did when he got there, he said. “I believe [Katie] and I really did mesh well. … There wasn’t one thing that held us back. Except for some Greg stuff. Every conversation we had was positive and full of laughter. It was easy to fall for someone you love. It was easy to find your way. It is easy to believe that this was the greatest thing ever. Then came real-life.

Katie and He knew it was over

After the August 2021 finale, Blake said that he and Katie realized their relationship was not going to work. They spent the September of their “chunkest” time together, travelling to New York City, San Diego and San Diego where she had just bought a house.

“We realized that we were not compatible in many different ways. And I was expecting, I believe we were both expecting to have an amazing time in San Diego and to love it. She had a new home and other stuff. He said that there was tension from day to day. “We weren’t delivering what we needed within that time frame. It was those three weeks that ended it. Because I had been to Kenya, I didn’t see her again for some time. It was like, “What are we doing?” And so we pulled the plug.

He hopes Katie doesn’t regret their engagement

Blake assured Ben that he didn’t regret being on the show and that he was happy for Katie.

“I still have doubts about Greg’s ability to forgive me. He explained that he wanted to believe this was not a fake thing. “I want her feeling like this was real, just as you did. I wanted to know that we were on the same wavelength. It should feel just as real for her as it felt for me. … I believe she does, I think.

What He’s Going To Do With His Girlfriend Differently

“We have Instagram, all these things that can attract someone because people spill their lives through social media. So you can become attached to it and think you know somebody based only on an app, social media, photos or videos, and then they can meet in real-life. It’s not natural, it doesn’t have the same vibe, and the energy isn’t there,” he stated about returning to the dating scene. You set yourself up to fail because it’s not natural. I want it to be like the old days. I want to meet you in real life. I don’t want you to focus on who I think you are before meeting you. I’m taking a step back to do that moving forward.

What Blake Thinks of Katie and John Now

Blake stated, “I will forget the fact that she made her choices and move on — I will eventually get past that.” Blake said that she is glad she made that decision because it made her happy. We all want to be happy in this life. While we can’t be as concerned about everyone else as we would like, it is important to first think about ourselves. Yes, it’s possible to lose people you love, care about, and all that good stuff.

Blake acknowledged that it is impossible to “put a firm number” on when it’s time to move on. However, she suggested that “She could have been announced a bit later [or changed] how it was done” to ease the blow.

PTSD watching ‘The Bachelorette’

Blake answered the question “Weird feelings” when asked if he was watching Clayton Echard‘s 26th season.

He said that he had watched the first two episodes but not since. “Someone informed me Clayton went on, you’ll remember, a horse-state to a country singing date. That was my 1-on-1 session with Katie. “I just — I don’t need to go there.”
