The dark side to disruption. The new Apple TV+ series WeCrashed shows the fictionalized story of the downfall WeWork and Adam Neumann the man behind it all.

Although the Neumanns were controversial, Hathaway stated that she approached Rebekah’s role with an open mind and no judgments.

In an interview, the Oscar winner said Buttle that she appreciates the fact that the world has made up its mind about [Rebekah]”. This interview was published Friday, March 18. But what if I could look at this experience with new eyes? What if she is a good judge? Although the end result will remain the same, what if I embrace her good intentions? This allowed me to see the character in a way that felt authentic and honest.

, on his part, met with Adam before playing him. He later suggested that the businessman should not watch the show about his personal life. Adam stated that he had told him not to during a panel discussion held in November 2021. Adam said, “When someone tells me, ‘I am going act you’, you should not watch it.”

Before signing up for the show, the Princess Diaries actress hadn’t heard of WeWork. However, she spoke with Rebekah’s friends to gain insight into her character. She explained that people were almost forced to judge her harshly based on her media appearance. But when you look at what she was saying, many of the points make sense. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that they were perfect.

The Cast

WeCrashed also stars Kyle Marvin cofounder McKelvey. America Ferrera portrays Elishia Kennedy. She is an entrepreneur who gets caught up in WeWork’s glow. O–T Fagbenle portrays Cameron Lautner, an investor who assists WeWork with its IPO. The cast includes Anthony Edwards and Theo Stockman as well as Steven Boyer, Kim Eui–sung, Cricket Brown, Robert Emmet Lunney, and Steven Boyer.

The Plot

WeCrashed focuses on the relationship between the Neumanns and the events leading up to the company’s 2019 collapse. The series’ synopsis on Apple TV+ reads: “WeWork grew in less than a decade from a single coworking space to a global brand worth $47billion.” Its value plummeted in less than one year. What happened?

How to Watch

On March 18, the first three episodes of WeCrashed were available to stream on Apple TV+. The Friday premiere of new episodes is set for Fridays.

Where are the Neumanns Now?

Adam, who left WeWork in 2011, has been investing in real estate. He has acquired a majority interest in over 4,000 apartments and a total of $1 billion. He retains a share in WeWork, and is a consultant to the company.
