“We met through drama in the principal’s offices at preschool,” the Mis Congeniality star, aged 57, said in an interview with The New York Times Thursday, March 17.
Tatum, 41, has daughter Everly, 8 with Jenna Dewan. He was married to her from 2009 to 2019. Bullock adopted Laila (10), in 2015. Although the girls are now in elementary school their preschool days were not easy.
Bullock explained that Everly and Laila tried to alpha each other out and they were calling us together. We prayed it was the child of the other.
Both the Lost City stars and Virginia native are very involved as parents. The Virginia native even planned a break from acting so that he could focus on Laila, 12, and her son Louis, 12.
Bullock stated that “Right now” — and that [I] don’t know how much longer — she needs to be in the area that makes her happy,” Entertainment Tonight on Monday, March 14. It’s a 24-hour job, so I take it seriously. I want to be with my children and family 24/7. We don’t know what time it will be, but I know that this is where I’ll be for a while.
She laughed and said that she will “servicing their every needs” while on her Hollywood hiatus. Her schedule will be determined by “their social agenda.”
The Lost City was a chance to give Bullock and Tatum’s children some much-needed social interaction while making a movie. The movie was shot in a bubble in the Dominican Republic because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bullock stated to the NYT, “That’s why we made this film, so that they could have one long and Covid-safe playdate.” “We even brought motorbikes down to there. We only cared that Everly, Laila had the time of our lives.
The Bird Box Star coparents her children alongside long-term boyfriend Bryan Randall. Bullock, 55, praised Randall in a November 2021 interview. She also admitted that it was difficult for her to let Randall lead the parenting.
Bullock said that despite being stubborn, sometimes it was necessary to listen and say, “You may be saying things differently, but we mean the exact same thing.” It’s difficult to co-parent, because it’s all I want to do.
