Unveiled fairly quickly, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is already available for sale at several specialized brands such as Fnac, Boulanger or Amazon. The current best price for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE seems to be at Darty and Rakuten, where the phone is displayed at less than 500 euros. As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched from 759 euros. Its price has therefore dropped significantly!
As its name suggests, the Galaxy S21 FE takes a lot of the design of the firm’s 2021 flagship. Exit however the aluminum back and place in the plastic material (certainly to reduce the cost of the device). The Samsung S21 FE features a 6.4″ Dynamic AMOLED display. Its front has an always-showy selfie camera placed in the middle of the screen, while the rear sensors are housed in a small block on the left side of the device. The power and volume buttons are always located on the right edge.
Four different colors are available for the S21 FE: white, green, purple, and black. We will therefore retain fewer choices compared to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which had bet part of its communication on its six very distinct colors. However, Samsung has already surprised its community in the past by unveiling new colors for its older devices.
The “Fan Edition” versions of Samsung phones are based on a simple principle: to offer affordable versions of the brand’s current spearhead. To do so, the firm makes some concessions, generally on the materials and characteristics of the smartphone. This is particularly the case for this S21 FE, which already sees its rear coating switch to plastic. In terms of dimensions, the S21 FE is a bit larger than its counterpart (155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9 mm). This is also noticeable with its 6.4″ AMOLED screen, which is 0.2″ more than the classic S21.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE does not sacrifice its power, however. The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 888 processor which still remains today a small monster in the field, capable of efficiently managing your games and applications. You can also count on 6 to 8 GB of RAM. It should also be noted that the S21 FE has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Samsung also leaves the choice of storage with two options available: 128 and 256 GB.
For the battery: that of the S21 FE has 4500 mAh which is better than the Samsung S21 (4000 mAh), but as much as the previous S20 FE released in October 2020. The phone is compatible with wireless charging as well as the reverse charging, and even has a new supplied 25 W charging unit.
